Nothing arrived. What now
Silence and refusal look identical on screen and need opposite responses. Telling them apart takes one look.
An empty screen has two quite different causes, and the correct response to one is the opposite of the correct response to the other. Sorting out which you are looking at takes a few seconds and saves the rest of the attempt.
Did the platform actually send anything #
Go back to the form. If it refused the line, it says so — some wording about the number being unusable, unavailable in your region, or already registered. That is a refusal, nothing was sent, and waiting achieves nothing. If it says the code is on its way, the message exists somewhere and waiting is exactly right.
People routinely wait out a full window on a refusal they did not read, and routinely abandon a line thirty seconds before a code that was simply slow.
If it was sent #
- Let the window run. Most codes land in seconds, but a slow route can take minutes, and the line stays yours for the whole twenty.
- Do not ask the platform to resend more than once. Some of them treat a burst of requests as abuse and stop sending altogether.
- Nothing needs refreshing by hand — messages appear on the order as they arrive.
If the window closes empty, the reservation lifts by itself and the balance is untouched. There is nothing to claim and nobody to write to.
If it was refused #
Read which of the three it was, because they need different repairs. A line-type refusal cannot be fixed on that range at all. An origin refusal needs a different country, not a different carrier. A history refusal — "already registered" — needs any other line, preferably from a country with a deeper pool.
When the code arrives but is rejected #
Almost always a second message arrived behind the first and retired it — use the most recent one on the order. Failing that, the platform has tied the registration to a number other than the one you gave it, and starting again on a fresh line is quicker than anything else you can try.
Before writing to us #
Bring the order reference. It names the exact line, the exact window and what reached it, which is the difference between one reply and three. A question about a deposit wants the transaction hash for the same reason.
A refusal and a silence are not the same event, and the second code changes the answer: Why a platform turns a line away and One code, or a line you hold.
