Take a line

Before the first activation #

What is it that I actually pay for?

One delivered code. You name a service and a country, a carrier line in that country is put aside for you, and whatever that line receives is printed on your order. The line itself belongs to the carrier and stays there — what changes hands is the message, not the SIM.

Single activation or a line held by the term — which one?

A single activation ends with the code: the line is yours until the message lands and then rejoins the pool. A term keeps one line answering for 7 / 14 / 30 days and takes everything written to it, whoever writes. Register once and the first is enough; expect the account to keep writing back and the second is what you want.

A line was listed a second ago and now it will not order.

Idle counts move continuously and the page you are reading is a still frame. Between the render and your click, the last free line for that pairing can go. Reload, or drop to the next carrier — tariffs for one service usually sit within a few cents of each other, and the runner-up is almost always still standing.

How current are the tariffs and counts?

They are re-read rather than stored. Carriers put ranges back into circulation around the clock, so nothing here is cached for long, and the figure on the order bar is checked again against your balance before anything is settled.

How much of the catalogue can I reach?

1,304 services answering across 145 countries as things stand, opening at $0.07 an activation. Both lists are open to walk: a page per service listing the countries that carry it, cheapest first, and a page per country listing what answers from there.

Funding the balance #

How do I put money on?

Balance, from the account menu. Choose a figure and a coin and you are handed a deposit address together with the exact amount to send. Send it from any wallet you like. Crediting happens by itself once the chain confirms — there is nothing to forward to us and nobody to notify.

Direct link to this answer
Which coins can I send?

Tether (TRC-20), Monero, Tether (ERC-20), Ethereum, Bitcoin. Tether appears twice because it lives on two chains, and TRC-20 tokens sent to an ERC-20 address do not come back. The chain is printed beside the address on the deposit screen; use that one and no other.

Direct link to this answer
Is there a smallest deposit?

$20.00 a time. Under that, the chain fee carrying the transfer starts to rival the transfer, and a deposit worth less than the fee that moved it serves nobody. There is no ceiling worth naming, and nothing you hold expires.

Direct link to this answer
Do you take anything off a deposit?

Nothing is added at our end. Anything you spend beyond the figure on screen is your own wallet paying the chain to move the coin, and none of it reaches us. Some chains cost cents; Bitcoin during a busy hour costs considerably more. Offering several coins exists for precisely that reason.

Direct link to this answer
The transfer is sent and the balance has not moved.

Let the chain reach the confirmations it wants — minutes on most, longer on Bitcoin under load. The deposit screen watches the payment for you and says when it has been seen. Send less than the figure quoted and it simply waits, naming the shortfall; topping up the difference to the same address closes it. Send on the wrong chain and the live chat is the first stop, transaction hash in hand, before anything else is attempted.

Can the balance come back out?

No. What sits on the account is credit against activations, not a wallet, and there is no route from it back to a coin. Building one would make this a money service and bring the identity checks that go with it. Fund what you expect to spend rather than parking value here.

Can I push my balance to another account?

No — credit stays where it was funded. Running several accounts means funding each of them directly.

Placing an order #

It tells me the balance is short.

The tariff is weighed against your balance at the moment you order, not at the moment the page appeared. Add the difference and the same order goes through: your service, country and carrier are all still selected when you come back.

Why does one service cost differently on two carriers?

Because carriers come by their lines and return them at different rates, and a plentiful line is worth less than a scarce one. The code is identical either way. The order bar leads with the cheapest carrier that is actually delivering rather than the cheapest outright, on the grounds that a line nothing arrives on is not a saving.

Direct link to this answer
At what point does the money actually move?

When a code lands. Until then the tariff is reserved against your balance, and if the window closes empty the reservation lifts in full. A silent line is never paid for, and there is nothing to claim back — it returns on its own.

Direct link to this answer
Can one line serve two registrations?

Not on a single activation: that line covers one service once and then rejoins the pool. Where the same number has to keep receiving — a later code, a confirmation next month — a term is the product that does it.

Direct link to this answer
The service says the number is already registered.

Ranges are recycled, so a line can still be carrying an old account on a popular service. Let it go and draw another; a line that gave you nothing costs nothing. On the busiest services, a country with a deeper pool is the better second guess, since its lines turn over faster.

When the message comes #

Nothing has arrived.

Establish first that the service sent anything at all — a mismatched country prefix or a limit at their end stops the message before it ever reaches us. If it was sent and still nothing shows, let the window expire: the reservation lifts and the next line costs you nothing. Codes appear on the order as they land, with nothing to refresh by hand.

Direct link to this answer
The code comes back as wrong.

Nearly always a second message arriving behind the first, which retires the earlier one — use the most recent. Failing that, the service has attached the registration to a different number than the one you handed it. Begin again on a fresh line rather than retrying an old code.

Direct link to this answer
Can the code be sent again?

Ask the service, not us: we receive codes, we do not issue them. For as long as the line is still live on your order, anything that arrives next is shown to you at no further cost.

Direct link to this answer
Is a voice call an option?

No — this is SMS throughout. A service that verifies only by calling cannot be completed on these lines, and nothing in the catalogue suggests otherwise.

Direct link to this answer
Are the messages stored?

They are visible while the order is open and cleared shortly after it closes. Nothing is retained past that, and nothing at all is retained about the accounts you use them on. What we hold about you is an email address and the hash of a password.

The account itself #

Why is an account needed?

To carry a balance and to show you your codes. An address and a password are the entire requirement — no name, no document, no phone of your own, no card. There is no identity check anywhere on this site.

Direct link to this answer
The sign-up form will not go through.

The password wants ten characters at least and both fields have to agree. The form also runs an anti-robot check, the one part of the site that needs JavaScript switched on. An address already on file is named as such: sign in instead, or reset.

Direct link to this answer
I cannot get back in.

The reset link on the sign-in page sends a link good for an hour. After a run of wrong attempts the form pauses for a few minutes; that is a brake on guessing rather than a lock on the account, and waiting is the whole of the fix.

Direct link to this answer
Can the email address be changed?

Yes, from Settings, and your current password is asked for at the same moment. Without that, a session left open on a borrowed machine would be enough for somebody to take the account by moving the address and resetting from there.

Direct link to this answer
Somebody else appears to be signed in.

Change the password in Settings. Doing so ends every other session at once — part of the change, not a second step. Settings also counts the open sessions and will close the others on their own if that is all you want.

Direct link to this answer
Can the account be closed?

Ask in the live chat and it will be. Spend or write off the balance first: it cannot be withdrawn, and closing an account does not turn credit back into a coin.

Working over the API #

Where does a key come from?

API key, in the account menu. It is displayed once and only its fingerprint is kept, so there is no looking it up afterwards. A lost key is replaced in two clicks, and issuing the replacement retires the old one on the spot.

Direct link to this answer
Why must the account hold a balance to issue one?

Because a key spends. Issuing one against an empty account produces a token whose first answer would be a refusal. Fund it and the key takes a second to create.

Direct link to this answer
What does the API cover?

Your balance, and the live tariff and idle count for any service in any country. Ordering over the same base address and the same key is next in line. Every field and every error is set out on the API page.

Direct link to this answer
Is there a request ceiling?

600 a minute, counted per account rather than per address. A key is meant to run from one machine, and counting per address would punish exactly that while leaving a stolen key free to work elsewhere. Past the ceiling you get a 429 and a header naming the wait.

Direct link to this answer
Everything started answering 401.

The key was retired or replaced. A replaced key stops the instant its successor is issued, with no overlap, so a deployment still carrying the old one fails everywhere simultaneously. Issue, deploy, then retire — in that order and no other.

Mobile sessions #

You sell activations — why sessions as well?

Because both start from the same object: a SIM in a modem on a real carrier. An activation borrows that line's inbox for one message; a session borrows its data connection for a stretch of days. Same racks, same carriers, same absence of forms — two uses of a line already in hand.

Direct link to this answer
Will a session receive SMS?

No. A session hands you the data side of the line, never the inbox, and nothing sent by SMS arrives through it. Codes come from an activation or a term; an address to browse from comes from a session. Neither substitutes for the other.

Direct link to this answer
Do sessions draw on the same balance?

They do — one balance across all three products, funded identically. A session settles in full when you take it, unlike an activation, which settles only when the message arrives: a session is reserved to you from its first minute, so it is paid for from that minute.

Direct link to this answer
Can the carrier be chosen?

Yes, and it is the second step of the order — country, then carrier. For most purposes the carrier weighs more than the country, because the address block belongs to the carrier and the address block is the part the far end actually reads. Two carriers in one country are not interchangeable.

Direct link to this answer
How long until it works?

Host, port and credentials land on your dashboard the moment payment clears, rotation link beside them. Nothing to install and nothing to await: the modem is already running, and the stretch simply begins.

Volume, and reaching us #

Is reselling allowed?

It is, with no separate tier and no call to arrange first. The tariffs on screen are the tariffs at any volume, and the API is the same one everybody uses. Get in touch once the traffic is heavy enough that a dedicated rate would mean something.

Direct link to this answer
Can I supply my own lines to you?

No. Supply comes from carriers and aggregators rather than individuals, and there is no seller programme to join.

Direct link to this answer
What is the fastest way to get an answer?

However you reach us, arrive holding one of two things: the order reference if the question concerns a line, or the transaction hash if it concerns a deposit. Either one names the exact record, which is the difference between a question settled in one reply and a question settled in three.
